Hi, My wife is infected with Hepatitis B. She is taking medicine Tenvir (Tenofovir Disoproxil Fumarate tablets IP 300 mg) since last 2 yr, with the consultation from Dr. from Sir Ganga Ram Hospital. Dr. Suggest us that we need to take this medicine for 2-3 yrs. Please let me know is Hepatitis B is curable? How long we need to take this medicine? Is this medicine effective? Thanks,

Please don't worry take tab liv 52 hb by himalaya 1 1 for 3 months check hbasg after 3 months avoid oily spicy and fast food avoid outside food totally avoid non veg food take home made fresh food containing less oil and very less spices.

Now My age is 33 and I have diagnosed with Hepatitis B in 2016 Feb with viral load as 576UI/ML and LFT normal. Doctor suggested no treatment. In 2017 Nov when I retested the viral load became 1.2 crore UI/ML with elevated values of ALT 191 and AST 98. Now doctor suggested to start TENOFOVIR DF 300 mg daily once, but afraid of long term usage of this medicine and decided to go for Homeopathy. After using homeopathy treatment for one year when retest in 2018 Dec My LFT became normal with ALT and AST normal values and liver elastography too normal but viral load increased to 2.1 crore UI/ML. Now Gastroenterologist is saying liver is in good condition but virus has doubled and it is not good. He suggesting to start use of TENOFOVIR AF 25 mg (new pro drug to TENOFOVIR DF) daily once. Kindly suggest me. Will the usage of TENOFOVIR AF 25 mg is safe or any better homeopathy options.

Tenofovir is anytime better option than doing homeopathy treatment. Please listen to your gastroenterologist and do as he says. Tenofovir AF has better safety profile.

The govt Dr. has given you the therapy that is given as per government's protocols, though new regimes are now in the who's latest protocols. Hi, My husband has HBeAg negative and Anti HBe positive. And his CBC test is fine SGOT -- 63 SGPT -- 118 HIV I& II (TRI-DOT) --NEGATIVE Viral Load -- 5634 IU/ml Log10 Value -- 3.75 Doctor suggested to take Tenofovir Disoproxil Fumarate 300 MG tablet.
