Ethamsylate is not the solution. First of all it is necessary to reach the final diagnosis and then u should proceed for the treatment. Sometimes blood vomiting is also due to Acid peptic disorders. So I would advise u not to take oily spicy and junk food. Take proper sleep at night. Take Ayurved treatment to pacify pitta dosha. U may take Syrup Sucralfate before food for few days. Plz rule out clotting disorders.

You might be suffering from gerd ie gastroesophageal reflux disease. You should avoid spices n masalas n smoked food along with excessive oil etc. No need to woory, it is curable. Start a proton pump inhibitor regularly along with syrup sucralfate. Also you need to start on saome antianxiety medications for raised hearbeat. Also do tests like thyroid profile n consult a physician.

Thank you for the query.
GERD as you may be knowing causes symptoms like heartburn and acidic taste in the mouth. Since you already have Barrett's oesophagus (abnormal change in the cells of the lower portion of the esophagus), an Endoscopic surveillance at routine intervals is advisable. A burning sensation/discomfort localised in the abdomen, may be due to an associated gastritis/duodenitis. You continue with the es-omeprazole as prescribed. Avoid painkillers like Diclofenac and Ibuprofen ...more

Hi lybrate-user, as you have said that the operation was done one month back, there should not be any wound where you can apply the ointment. Hot sits bath with betadine liquid in it - once or twice daily should be sufficient for you at this stage. However you may apply ointment smooth (sucralfat ano is even better as it contains sucralfate which has a healing property.) take plenty of water and fibres to control the stool texture .please avoid bnc ointment as it contains steroid which will drie...more

Hi there, I am a 25 year old (turning 26 this july) male who is otherwise healthy. About 5 days ago, I accidentally drank too much rum at home and ended up with a hangover. This is my first time really ever drinking too much as I only started consuming regular alcohol within the last 6 months since I wanted to try out whiskey and others. Before the 6 months, I had the occasional glass of wine or beer. It was sort of rare for me to drink even enough to feel different. However, this time I went too far and ended up vomiting and aching all over. The vomiting stopped by the next day and the aches ended the day after that. The issue I am concerned about is a lasting dullness in my head and mind, as well as a slight stomach ache every morning so far. My decision making and reaction times are not impacted as far as I can tell, as I can go to work and drive around the city without any issues. It's just when I focus on something that my mind feels cloudy and perhaps tight, maybe even like it is mildly spinning. As an example: I walked into walmart last night and found myself looking up at the white lights on the ceiling. I was focusing on them just fine, buy I felt like it wasn't a sharp focus as if my mind was blocked, despite being able to actually focus on the lights. I do not seem to have any issues with the functions of my focusing or thoughts as far as I can tell, it's more of a sensation that my mind feels tight. Sort of like a feeling that I wasn't focusing on it clearly despite actually doing so. Often times when I move my head rapidly, I start to get dizzy, not enough to fall over, but enough to get a little nauseous. It is not painful and it does not impact my day to day life once I shower and leave the house. It's just always there and it has me concerned that I might have done more damage than I expected. Additionally, every morning since, I have woken up with a mild stomach issue where it feels like I might vomit something up, but then I burp up some gas and the feeling goes away I have never had this before in my life in this frequency. Just last night, I tried to raise my blood sugar levels since I hadn't taken in much sugar since. Had 2 cans of pop and a package of 10 reese's peanut butter cups, followed by a litre of milk once the soda left my system. I ended up feeling some sharp pains in my stomach that came on and stopped over and over again. I notice that it gets much better after I shower and leave my apartment, but still is not bad when I return later in the day. Seems primarily when I wake up and spend time inside without going out. I do not mean to be a hypochondriac, but I find the fun I had drinking is outweighed by the morning after, so I would as soon as quit drinking entirely. I just hope to get out of this slump and get back to normal. Even yesterday, I have only had 2 cups of coffee like i've done many times before and I got some strange feelings in the stomach and was occasionally dizzy. I kept a jug of water near my bed for a couple of days to try to rehydrate myself, and I haven't really felt dry. Even right now, it feels like my mind is very tight and my focus is not as sharp as it was before. Any advice is appreciated.

Hi. Gone through your history. your condition is a typical post alcoholic binge episode. I would advice to take plenty of water and fruit juices and be rehydrated properly. Also I think the excess alcohol with voilent recthing and vomiting has caused severe gastritis and thats causing your pain abdomen. So reduce any oily, spicy food for few day. I would adive antacids and a syrup containing sucralfate with oxytocaine, 15 ml three to four times 30 min before food. U can contavt privately if need...more

I am a Gastro patient from last 2016 october. At that time I regularly vomited a lot. Like in the morning when I wkeup and go to brush my teeth vomiting starts smelling the toothpaste scent and all stuffs like that. Then I consulted and visited a doctor gastro specialist in siliguri. After all checkups and endoscopy he claimed I got throat to stomach ulcers. Then he took care of mine with good medication and a 2nd visit. After that I get well bt not as the same I used to be. I do smoke a lot. Drink oftenly once a week. But in everyday life. All day I used to burp a lot like 3 times every 30 mint. And have also got digestion issues. I can not eat well or high protien foods. After eating a good food in home or in any place I may visit I almost getting burps every mint. Till the food is completely digested. Around 4-5 hours. And also my stools are not that good not on regular basis. I got get stool in the morning. Have to try 3-4 time a day. Thats embarrassing. Thats all.
