Hi. Sir.i have a schizophrenia. I am taking clozapine 600 mg and amisulpride100 mg I have a question that is any limitations in schizophrenia especially to my cases.

If the antipsychotic medicines are cause of increased prolactin then is it right to add more medicines? The new medicines will create more new issues.
Instead find a solution which can solve both the issues.
I suggest taking homoeopathic treatment.

My wife age 28 having sulpitac 100 mg tablet for depression. She it taking it for last 6 months. When we check the prolactin levels as suggested by gynecology doctor it more than 200. Now her menses was not occurring still 2 months. Do prolactin levels reach above 200 due to sulpitac 100 mg. Kindly clarify. Now we have consulted a psychiatrist. He suggested for zipsodn. We have given this tablet for two day .but it's not working. She started with same problem. So I have given her sulpitac again. But my gynecology sujesting me to stop sulpitac and give cabgolin tablet to reduce prolactin levels. Can I give sulpitac & cabgolin to gather.

I was feeling little depressed and started the SSRI with 20 MG. Within a week I had the side effects (Insomnia, palpitation, restlessness) and doctor had to stop it and started Eliwel and Buspin. I am currently on Eliwel 10 MG (1 Tablet in night) and Buspin 5 MG (1/2 tablet after breakfast & night). I am getting good sleep but as soon as I get up in the morning (7 AM) I feel depressed and it slowly goes away by 10 AM. I am taking these tablets from last 8 days. Why do I feel depressed in the morning?

It will take more time for medicine to effect and you can also consider counselling or CBT . You have not described your situation clearly

Hi, my wife has sleep disturbance and it is diagnosed as due to anxiety/depression, when consulted a Psychologist and he redirected us to meet a Psychiatrist. She started using Prothiaden 25 mg and Alprazolam 0.5 since few days. She was using Eliwel 25 mg for better sleep and now it is stopped and started using above said two medicines, she again started having sleep problems during whole night. Should we add Eliwel also along with her recent medication prescribed?

I think you should decrease sulpitac by 100 mg. And addtab d-veniz 50 mg for curing negative thoughts.

Eliwel has sedation as it's effects. When you can do is to decrease the dose of eliwel, or consult your treating Dr. and take advice regarding these problems.

Hi, I am nitin budhiraja, I am patient of schizophrenia. My doctor had prescribed me medicine amisulpride 200 & quetiapine 100 on 28 jan 2019. After that I reduced the quetiapine slowly & finally withdraw quetiapine. I was still taking amisulpride 200. Again I consult with my doctor on 16 april 2019. I told about the withdrawal quetiapine. My mental condition is very good on 16 april 2019. My doctor reduced my medicine he prescribed me amisulpride 100 or 150 on 16 april 2019. On 16th april I took amisulpride 100 on 17th april I took amisulpride 150 on 18th april I took amisulpride 150 on 19th april I am feeling less interest in work so I think this is because of reducing amisulpride from 200 mg to 150 mg so today I take back my previous dose of amisulpride that is 200 actually I do not want that I have less interest in work or daily activity. I am also taking himalaya mentat two times a day last question my doctor prescribed me aride sr & I am taking amisulpride generic. Both are same?

Dear lybrate-user,
You can take generic amisulpride instead of aride sr. I don't know anything about mentat. Please take an appropriate dose of amisulpride that is comfortable for your work and earning capacity. Please report it to your doctor when you visit next. Find out other reasons for less interest in work and daily activities and correct them.
