Dear Mr. lybrate-user, I am assuming that it was not a psychiatrist that you consulted. Having frequent worries, being unable to sleep and feeling restless in your mind are all symptoms that suggest an anxiety disorder which can easily be controlled with the correct treatment. From the medicines you were given, it seems that a psychiatrist had not assessed you. So my suggestion would be a psychiatry consult for the right help. All the best!

Hello lybrate-user tks for your query. Etizolam is usually used as short term measure to decrease anxiety but since you have been taking for a year now you may try decreasing etizolam to half and then gradually stopping it. However if anxiety symptoms return then it requires thorough assessment.

Etizolam is a temporary medication to treat anxiety. Since it is a benzodiazepine it is not advised for long term regular use. You will likely need SSRIs or SNRIs for your anxiety treatment, which address the causes of anxiety. Good luck

Hi lybrate-user, thank you for your query. White coat hypertension per se might not be the actual reason for your elevated bp. Kindly consider other factors like: stress from work or home, eating food that’s high in sodium or consuming a lot of caffeine etc. The list goes on.
Regarding alprax, that is a treatment modality considered for anxiety or panic attacks.
If possible kindly rest for 15-30 mins before bp check up. Keep your mind open. Hypertension if present is treatable.

Hello
the above medications in the dosages are usually considered safe if you do not have any pre existing medical conditions especially heart diseases, diabetes etc. You can get an ecg done if not previously and show it to your doctor if its normal or not. But if you are feeling better then you can continue using it and if any problem arises you should consult with your treating psychiatrist or doctor immediately.
