Etizolam is a mild anxiolytic which should not be consumed alone over a longer run. U might need SSRIs or SNRIs. Kindly consult a psychiatrist.

Long term medication for slleep and anxiety or taking it irregularly on and off is not good, unless a psychiatrist has advised it and you are under his periodic supervision. Try mind relaxing techniques, yoga and better life style.

Long term consumption of benzodiazepines lead to dependence, it is always better to take this medicine on prescription and remain in consultation with your treating doctor.

Hi Lybrate user,
Although antianxiety medications like etizzolam can be taken. But they have a propensity to cause dependence and more so ever are not the first line treatment for anxiety. It would be better to consult a psychiatrist and start an antidepressant and or psychotherapy so that antianxiety medications are not needed on a regular basis.
