Hello,
the treatment for schizophrenia is required and it needs to be treated. All medicines have certain side effects, your doctor will be the best person to talk to and decide if there is a need to change or stop the the medicine in case there are any side effects.

Dear Swapna,
If Sulpitac 100 mg alone is able to maintain your improvement, you can stop risdone ls by taking risdone 1 mg for 2 weeks and stop. But i doubt it. Your positive symptoms like hallucinations and delusions may come up if you stop risdone l s.

It's an interesting question you have regarding sulpitac and drinking coffee. I actually ran a drug interaction between the two i.e. Amisulpiride and caffeine and there seem to be no interactions between the two. I am unsure why you would ask a question about a medication you have been taking for the last 5 years. I believe you should be able to ask any other questions you may have privately.

Hello, Sulpitac can be given up to 1200 mg in divided dosage. In the beginning of the treatment drug starts showing its maximum effect and then the improvement is slow. Medications are not magic pills and it usually take some time to control symptoms. Being patient here is the key.

Dear lybrate-user,
Please do not worry much about the medicines and its uses. Please take them as prescribed and see the difference they make in your symptoms and general quality of life. Generally allopathic doctors make a diagnosis with the symptoms and signs. Then they give the prescribed treatment for the diagnosis. It is not symptomatic treatment in a...more

Schizophrenia is a very complex and difficult disease to treat, even with medication. All psychotropic medicines have side-effects: that is inescapable. But I suspect that you are depending entirely on medication when in reality you need to combine it with counseling or therapy to improve cognitive skills. In therapy you will learn a lot of coping mechanisms and techniques to remain functional and lead a close-to-normal life. You will also learn about emotions and how they can impact your condit...more

Dear user first of all why are you taking medicines, you didnât mention here if you donât want to take medication for life time then please wake up yourself, medicines are not a perfect solution for mental health, you have to work on your own, your will power, your mind and thoughts. You are too young. But due to certain reasons if you are on antidepressants you have to take some extra care of yourself.
