The counselor could be right for some reasons and your wife could be right for other reasons. The timing of the problem your son manifests is very significant and something has to be done. The reason I say this is that he is in his late teens and this is the last time his issues will come up looking for a resolution goaded by hormonal imbalances, particularly testosterone. If you do not take care of it now, he will have permanent negative features and those will grow over time and will become se...more

Dear Shaik,
All your symptoms are symptoms of schizophrenia. In schizophrenia, there is dopamine deficiency. All the tablets that you have taken are to correct that deficiency. May be because of the tablets you don't have positive symptoms. Negative symptoms need to be treated with psychosocial methods. Unfortunately you may be having treatment resistant schizophrenia. How much clozapine for how long you have taken? Talk to your doctor on effective dose of clozapine and psychosocial rehabili...more

Your occasional depression/ anxiety attacks, despite the symptoms being majorly in control, could be triggering your asthma attacks. I do empathize with your irreparable losses. Life does present us with varied challenges which sometimes are unpleasant to deal with. We, however, need to take every challenge that we are faced with, positively and th...more

Dear Mr. Dhawan, Any particular molecule cant be claimed as superior as response varies from person to person. One agent that is good for a particular person may not work that well for other. However, clozapine is one molecule that is considered superior to all others in resistant cases and is generally given when other medicines fail. Partial agonists such as aripiprazole have a less side effects but sometimes efficacy is found wanting. Your patient will need evaluation and appropriate suggesti...more
