It appears he is suffering from dementia. Adjusting his sizodon dose and managing his dementia may improve his symptoms. His forgetfulness may be the reason for his talk about theft of his items. Though there may not be complete cure for dementia, the symptoms can be minimized.

I am sure the doctor is not a psychiatrist, kindly get your son's ADHD evaluated in detail, ADHD needs to be confirmed by psychological and psychiatric evaluation and sizodon is not the drug to be used. It needs to be treated with special group of medications. Also sizodon starts from 0.5 mg to 4 mg tablet and can cause serious side effects when dosing is not done by experts, so kindly consult a nearby psychiatrist who evaluates child as well. All the best.

Dear lybrate-user,
They are all tablets to treat schizophrenia. But the dose depends on how much your wife improved and what kind of side effect she is having. Weight gain, sleep improvement, shakiness, salivation, stiffness, etc needs to be assessed periodically to change or alter the dose of these tablets. There are long term side effect of sizodon like prolactin elevation, metabolic syndrome, etc. These things also needs to be weighed against improvement in the follow up with the psychiat...more

Hi, this is a serious mental illness, she needs to be shown to a psychiatrist at local level and the dose of medicines should be increased till she stops hearing voices or getting suspicious about others. The current dose might be not good enough and might need to be increased.

You can chose to start with simple mindfulness exercises. Progressive relaxation techniques, begin with simply standing in morning sunlight for 3 mins. Gradually increase it 1 min in each 5 days.
These are the foundations for handling lower states of brain.
Regarding leaving medicines you have to do it under the guidance of your psychiatrist, attempting it on your own can be hazardous.

It can be due to two reasons, it cane commonly due to the psychiatric disorder, which you have, which also produces cognitive symptoms, second commonly it can be due medications. If this is due to either of the reasons, the psychiatrist can attempt to modify the medications or add cognitive enhancers for your complaints. Good luck.

Hi lybrate-user. Is your anxiety, irritation and agitation recent? Or has it been present since a long time?
If recent, it could signal that your disorder is about to get aggravated. It is advisable to report these symptoms to your psychiatrist and seek treatment for the same.
It may be necessary to conduct some blood tests to check for other medical problems.
I wish you a speedy recovery.
