Doctor consulted my friend: (sinarest nasal spray) oxymetazoline hydrochloride & sorbitol nasal solution to use what are side effects if used regularly please give me some answer.

While administering medicines to children, knowing their weight is extremely important to avoid overdosage. Both the formulations mentioned above share some similar side effects and hence it would be prudent to take ventryl suspension (~ 5 ml) orally 2-3 times a day i.e. Every 8 hourly and sinarest syrup 5 ml orally at bedtime.

Dear Lybrateuser,
- Take only tablet Sinarest, 1 tablet twice a day after meals, morning after breakfast & evening after dinner
- also have more of warm fluids including water, tea, coffee & soup
also do steam inhalation twice a day
- avoid exposure to cold weather.

Additionally, give nasivion s nasal drop--2 drops in each nose 6-8 times/day (especially before feeds). "don't give" zukamin/sinarest. U can use kofarest pd drops.

If you have an acute throat pain associated with fever not necessarily it's viral, you could be suffering from tonsillitis or pharyngitis. If the fever is not getting relieved kindly consult your ent doctor.

Dear friend, you are giving very low dose but if it is showing effect then very fine. Continue same dose otherwise you may increase. Low dose is always safe. You are giving half dose as per baby requirement. Hope this will help you.
