Daxid is far superior as it come from reputed pfizer, but there are generic advocates who say they are the same. It is like 24k gold and 18k gold. Both are gold only. You make a choice.

Dear lybrate-user,
what is the severity of ocd? If you can manage without daxid for first 11-12 weeks, it will be better. If you think that your ocd will affect your child, it is better to continue along with folic acid 5 mg daily. Please do an u/s scan for abnormality at 11th week. All the best.

It is never recommended to continue any medications in pregnancy if not absolutely required, as it can harm the baby. However, if the situation demands it it can be prescribed. This requires the consent of the mother and father. Since you are already on zosert 75, you need to wait till another 2 weeks for review with your psychiatrist. A medication needs to be given a period of 4 weeks to assess its success. I suggest you visit your psychiatrist after 2 weeks and with your consent, he/she will d...more

Dear Mr. lybrate-user, delayed ejaculation is often a side effect of ssri or selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors like fluoxetine (flunil) and sertraline (zosert). Change of medications will solve his problem. Do not stop the medications suddenly, it requires tapering down gradually and gradual changeover to other group. Consult psychiatrist for this process.
