Dandruff is something which is not just external but is linked to your diet, hormones etc. Usually, from the age of puberty to adulthood, oil glands will be very active and can cause repeated inflammation. So, dandruff can be controlled in this age group and not cured completely. Use ketoconozole containing shampoo like head and shoulders, scalpe etc to control dandruff. Reduce oily foods, non vegetarian foods, sweets and chocolates ,dairy foods to control dandruff.

Hair loss is a subtle metabolic disorder. It may be related to disease such as diabetes, for example, or following typhoid infection. It may be due to some fungal infection on the scalp, or to hormonal imbalance. A deficiency of calcium, magnesium, and zinc may affect the nourishment of the hair enough that the hair starts to fall out. And there is a definite hereditary factor, in which genes appear to trigger hair loss at a certain age.

Scalp issues like dandruff can only be controlled with personal hygiene management. Combing hair every day helps in blood circulation. Use of a medicated shampoo that contains zinc pyrithione, tea-
tree oil and ketoconazole helps in reducing the flakes. Wash hair thrice a week and try to massage the scalp with oil before you wash them. Take a diet rich in vitamin b, greens and protein.

Other causes are stress, a low protein diet, a family history, use of bore water, or nutritional deficiencies. Need to rule out any causative fac...more
