Perlice which contains permethrin kills the lice, after rinsing you need to remove them using a comb. However it does not kill nits, and thats why you have to reapply 7 days later to kill the new lice! do not forget to treat all your family members.

Treatment of pediculosis pubis Apply sufficient amount of 1%permite/permiskin lotion or 5% cream to thoroughly saturate the pubic area. Allow it to remain for 10 minutes and then rinse with water
Treatment of Head pediculosis
Apply 30-60 ml of 1% permite/permiskin lotion to washed and towel dried hair and allow to remain for 10 minutes. Rinse with water. Treatment may be repeated after 7-10 days if lice or nits are detected in hair scalp junction.

For lice treatment you can apply permethrin 1 percent cream to the scalp for 15 minutes and then wash the head. Reapply cream for 3 days and your lice problem will be solved.

Avoid using regular shampoo one to two days after.
Continue checking for two to three weeks for nits and lice.
Soak combs and brushes in boiling water for five to 10 minutes.
