if younger increase to 40mg telmisartan.
age is important.how is her sleep appetite and excercise.
do insist for salt restriction and walking for 30 minutes min more better.
how about her wt. if overwait then reducing weight can help.

Take salt restricted diet. Fried salt restriction should be 1800 mg-2750 mg per day. Do not take added salt because most of your vegetables contain sodium already in it. Avoid mustard oil completely. Take sunflower or rice bran oil daily. Avoid red meat and big fishes completely.

No there is no problem. BP of 140 /80 is normal. Though upper one systolic is little high but at this age there will be always little stress. Still you should practice a healthy life style like regular walking of 30 to 45 minutes, avoid all sort of fried and rich foods, take less carb foods. Minimum sleep should be if 8 hours at night. If bp is controlled, don't change medicines if not, betablockers group is safer as it protects the heart and brain from attack due to blocks in blood vessels besides medicines, reduce her salt and take more potassium through citrus fruits like oranges and lemon juice and water don't force any exercises. Simple walks are safest so is yoga and meditation.
