it depends on the diagnosis of type of depression. Like major depressive disorder, may take 3 weeks to improve, 3-6 months to continue the tablets. Dysthymia may be for long term. I think you have wrong information about lung inflammation .ask your treating doctor about the prescribed medication. Ibuprofen and other oral anti-inflammatory medication (except steroids) have no role in asthma.
