My father having copd, suffering from asthma from last 10 years ,medicine details. Are .deflacort 6, derifylin 450,(levosalbutamol 50 mcg, ipratropium bromide 20 mcg .combimist inhaler) health is serious no solve after taking aboves medicine.

Kindly do a pulmonary function test serum ige levels and further decide the plan of inhalers
also if ige is high plan for a skin prick allergy test to help find the trigger.

I have chronic bronchial asthma. Since June 2018 this year has been worse and asthma is not been in control. Have shown 2 doctors. Now taking syncobreathe, ab flow and telecast L along with nebulizer Budapet neb and starter regular pranayama for past one month. The asthma is controlled for 5 days And then aggregates for remaining 2-3 days. This is constant pattern. No relief with these meds. Please help and share the best pulmanologist to visit.

The asthma is generally due to allergy and you need to identify the allergen and avoid contact with it, The inhalation medicine is the gold standard treatment and continue to do it and ofcourse do breathing exercises like you do now.

I have asthma problem. Though not on regular medicine for it, I go to doctor whenever needed, take neb, injection, medicine. Past 6 days having breathing issues. Tightness in chest. No fever /cough. Due to lighten my doctor not available so went to another doctor. He got x-ray and cbc, esr done. White cells little more and esr=50. Xray is ok. Written normal. So prescription levoflox, derryphylin tab, and levocet lc, taking medicine past 4 days but no relief. Can't go out again and again in lock down. It's unsafe too. No wheezing in chest. But have to take in air forcibly. Please suggest what should I do.

your asthma doesn't seem to be under control. You have frequent mild exacerbations (increase in symptoms).
You definitely need inhalers to relieve n control asthma.
Inhalers for safest medications for asthma which are neglected by most.

Health Query

My son who is 4 year and 1 months old (weight - 13.5 kg). Hes been treated for running nose, cough, chest congestion off and on a couple of times. Wheezing is detected too on some occasions. Most of the time it results in fever. when he was 2 years old, suffering from bronchiolitis and admitted to hospital. After a week of treatment and nebulaizing he came to home. Then doctor says this frequent episode of runny nose, chest congestion and coughing accompanied with a small amount of wheezing means allergy to something in the environment. So we did allergy test and found that he has high allergy on dust, milk, milk product, brinjal, banana etc. We immediately stop those food item. Then doctor prescribed budecort-100 two puffs twice a day and delpomont syrup 5 ml at evening. And cough time salbair 3 puffs four times a day. Now it's almost 1 year 3 month, he is continuing this budecort and delpomont. I can say things are any better with this inhaler. Salbair inhaler is given whenever there is coughing and some amount of wheezing. but now my doctor is asking to give also levolin 0.68 mg nebulizer for 3 times a day when this episode starts with budecort, delpomont and salbair. is it safe for a 4 year old child? We are using budecort 100 and delpomont syrup for last 1.5 years. Is it good for my child? Can there be some side effects on such a small child?

My 6 year old daughter is suffering from wheezing and cough. On and off since last 2 years. She was absolutely fine during summer months and nebulization was not required but condition worsened during winters in delhi. Doctors have diagnosed it as allergic bronchitis. She is been given budesal 0.5 and salbair 0.31 and 5 ml montair syrup her conditions improves a lot after nebulization. Now the doctor has advised to give budecort inhaler 2 puffs twice a day and she is taking it. Her allergy panel test is done and ige was 10. She has been advised to stay from dust, moulds, cold food and air. Pls advise if the paediatrician has given the right treatment? Are the inhalers safe without any side effects. Will the child get dependent on inhalers? Can steroids slow the growth (height/weight)? For how long are the inhalers required? Any food restrictions like junk food?
