No. But a new born needs a happy father. So get out of anxiety first. You can also try therapy apart from medication.

Please first visit a psychologist and get psychological testing done to confirm if you have ocd or ocd like symptoms. If it is ocd, you will be cured by medicines but in case reports reveal you have ocd like symptoms, then psychotherapy is the cure, medicines will not help much. Psychotherapy is treatment given by talking and a psychologist is the specialist who treats psychological problems without medicines.

It might adversely affect sexual functions in some patients & may NOT effectively help in symptoms in domains of lethargy/fatigue (you are not able to pull up yourself for work). Hence, safer alternative at this point can be ei...more

Now if you want to come off of medication you will need to work with a counselor too so that you develop good coping mechanisms to meet the everyday challenges life. Relying only on the chemical intervention is grossly insufficient. By just popping in pills how do you hope to develop skills and tools to manage life?! If you stay episode-free for at least three years then the doctor may decide to take you off of the medica...more
