Dear lybrate-user,
some medications in neuropsychiatry are similar to those in other medical conditions like diabetes, high bp, etc, and may need to be taken as instructed by your psychiatrist. They actually help you rather than harm you in any way. I would recommend that you consult your psychiatrist for suggestions regarding the medications and have your concerns addressed by him. Alternatively, you can get a second opinion here consult me.

Dear lybrate-user,
please understand your panic disorder well. Stalopam lite needs to be taken for months. Can not be stopped so soon. Please consult your doctor about your disturbance before increasing the dose.
You can also add cognitive therapy of knowing the situation of panic attacks, equating your symptoms to grave disease or death etc. For example you have to question whether heart beating is equal to heart attack and death.

Dear lybrate-user,
Your doctor would have weighed the benefit vs safety before prescribing Stalopam 5.
It is safe for you to take stalopam 5. It is the lowest dose.
Probably the doctor would have felt that you are worrying too much about the reports.
Are you planning pregnancy or is there a possibility of pregnancy? Then don't take Stalopam 5 and go in for therapy for your worries.

the dose depends on the need, so don't worry. There are also other medications which are as effective or more effective if this does not work out. So do not lose hope, get your symptoms under control and live life to the fullest. Good luck.

If you wanna decrease the dose, you should start exercising daily. Like real rigorous physical exercise. The endorphins released out of it will help you feel better and you can eventually decrease the dose.
Although, taking Feliz S plus for years and decades doesn't produce much of problems except Sexual Dysfunctions.
