Hello, thanks for the query.
I have seen the details mentioned. She did not have very high cholesterol and ldl cholesterol when treatment was begun and the even the latest values are very pretty low. However, there is no mention of hdl the good cholesterol. Since she has diabetes and hypertension, it is essential to know how the blood glucose is controlled as well as how the bp is. Another important aspect have you checked her thyroid profile? Because she appears to have excess weight with a...more

Hello, Thanks for the query.
I have seen the details mentioned. In fact for persons with all such problems as you have there is an absolute need to take Covid vaccination so as to protect against the possible infection. So please do take that vaccine.
Secondly it is very important to achieve a strict glucose control with FBG < 100 mg or closer to 100 mg, PP 150 to 170 mg & HbA1c% <7%. Allergies are fine, those do not affect the decision to take vaccine shot. If you have any questions...more

Yes both the medications can be taken concurrently, but please remain in follow up of a cardiologist so that they can get the lipid levels repeated again and see how you are responding to the medication and change dosages accordingly.

Nitrocontin is not a cholesterol control agent, it is a anti-hypertensive and anti-anginal and has no impact on lipid profile. Rozavel F is the cholesterol control drug.

There is no need to take Statins if the Lipid profile is normal. You should also check your weight , BP and go for yearly check up. Keep yourself active by exercising for 1 hr every day. Avoid all junk food or restrict it to once in a while. If there is a family history of cardiac problems then go for regular check-up.

Mr. lybrate-user, Thanks for the query.
For your lipids you may need just a statin like Rosuvastatin 5 mg. There is absolutely no need for fenofibrate, (F) as TGL value is just 197 mg. Unless TGL go beyond 500 mg there is no need to worry about. Properly balanced healthy diet plus regular exercise will be more than sufficient. Thanks.
