Hello, 49-year-old male here. Approximately 2 and a half years ago I experienced a "mild" heart attack which led to angioplasty to the second diagonal branch of the left coronary artery with the placement of a des resolute integrity 2.25x18x1 mm. Since then I've been taking daily clopidogrel 75 mg, rosuvastatin 10 mg, metoprolol tartrate 25 mg and acetylsalicylic acid 100 mg and have never experienced any discomfort whatsoever. Never in my life I had (or have) problems with high blood pressure or high blood sugar, my problems were cholesterol related, which of course now is way lower than the limit due to diet and medication. But I am experiencing problems in obtaining/sustaining an erection. I wanted to ask, is it safe for me to take viagra etc. Furthermore is there any point in continuing taking metoprolol since I never ever had high blood pressure issues? Many thanks in advance.

Yes you can go for angiography. Now -a-days, it can be done through radial artery so risk of hematoma/ pseudo aneurysm is lesser as compared to femoral route especially when you are taking anti platelets/ blood thinners.

Yes, continue clopidogril as it is used for blood thinning and fabuxostat is given to reduce uric acid.

Among clopidogrel and aspirin both are similar efficacy. Usually either aspirin 150 or clopidogrel 75 mg are standard doses.

Clopidogrel is given for preventing platelets aggregation in the coronary blood vessels. I do not understand the relationship between uric acid and clopidogrel. Thanks.

Clopidogrel is a blood thinner but its jot rhat bleeding will never stop ! There are even better n heavier blood thinners than clopidogrel. Effect starts to wear off in 24 hrs of stoppage albeit takes 5 days, but never stop on ur own !
