My husband age 36 his 2d echo report clinical history .asmi 2017 recanalised hr 78bpm normal chamber dimensions apical hypokinesia normal contracting other lv segments preserved overall lv systolic function lvef 50% early diastolic dysfunction (relaxation) cardiac valves are structurally normal normal sized pulmonary artery no evidence of pulmonary hypertension estimated rv systolic pressure 26mmhg no intercourse clots /pericardial effusion icc normal sized with good pulsation impression apical hypokinesia normal sized lv preserved lv systolic function lvef 50% normal pa pressure ecg was written nsr he was taking juprios gold 10 met xl 25 now Dr. has stopped medicine and just said him to take razel 10/75 his blood pressure always between 110/80 to 130/80 no sugar no thyroid I want to ask are reports ok as he is worried and thinking if anything happen because met xl is cancelled and only one tablet there no clopidogrel is there please help me.

the medicines are correct. Clopidogrel is required for 3months after heart trouble, it can cause bleeding. Must NOT be taken when not needed.

Dearr lybrate-user as I can see you are taking tablets for dyslipidemia, there is a combination different in both the brands you have mentioned, I suggest you to consult your doctor with recent lipid profile done. So that he can make all the necessary changes.

Hello sir, My dad is 64 years old. He suffers from type 2 diabetes and hypertension. He takes Olmax LN 40 containing olmesartan 40 mg and cilnidipine 10 mg for HTN. He also takes an antiplatelet drug Clopilet A 75 (containing Aspirin 75 mg and Clopidogrel 75 mg) and a statin Lipigo 5 mg (containing rosuvastatin 5 mg). 1.Can he take omega 3 fatty acids like EPA and DHA 500 mg daily? Omega 3 fatty acids have been found to be very useful in reducing synthesis of prostaglandin series 2 molecules and thus are anti inflammatory. Thus is also good for cardiovascular and joint health. The American Heart Association (AHA) also recommends consumption of upto 1000 mg of EPA+DHA for heart health daily.

In minor quantity this can be consumed, however preferred to take the same in the foods contacting omega 3 fatty acids like flax seed oil, fish oil etc.

Hello, 49-year-old male here. Approximately 2 and a half years ago I experienced a "mild" heart attack which led to angioplasty to the second diagonal branch of the left coronary artery with the placement of a des resolute integrity 2.25x18x1 mm. Since then I've been taking daily clopidogrel 75 mg, rosuvastatin 10 mg, metoprolol tartrate 25 mg and acetylsalicylic acid 100 mg and have never experienced any discomfort whatsoever. Never in my life I had (or have) problems with high blood pressure or high blood sugar, my problems were cholesterol related, which of course now is way lower than the limit due to diet and medication. But I am experiencing problems in obtaining/sustaining an erection. I wanted to ask, is it safe for me to take viagra etc. Furthermore is there any point in continuing taking metoprolol since I never ever had high blood pressure issues? Many thanks in advance.

How high was your triglycerides? Rosuvas is for LDL cholesterol. F is fenofibrate, for people with triglycerides above 600. Fenofibrate is started directly only if there is very high triglycerides due to fasting chylomicronemia and if no cause like alcohol, diabetes, or very restricted diet is present, which can be corrected. Yes you can go for angiography. Now -a-days, it can be done through radial artery so risk of hematoma/ pseudo aneurysm is lesser as compared to femoral route especially when you are taking anti platelets/ blood thinners.
