Cladoxim 200 mg/125 mg Tablet is a combination of two medicines: Cefpodoxime and Clavulanic Acid. Cefpodoxime is an antibiotic. It works by preventing the formation of the bacterial protective covering which is essential for the survival of bacteria. Clavulanic Acid is a beta-lactamase inhibitor which reduces resistance and enhances the activity of Cefpodoxime against bacteria.
The substitute need to have the same contents and cough syrup cannot replace it

In younger age recurrent infection and antibiotics will be needed and as he grows up these will reduce , There is no harm in giving antibiotic if there is infection and it will not cause any damage to the body ( unlike immunosuppressants and cancer drugs ) . Abuse is meant to describe the use when infection is not documented by examination and culture..he needs only balanced diet and exercises for good immunity
