Medications will help in overcoming widrawal symptoms if he trys to leave the drug, but for helping him to come out of drug intensive psychotherapy will also be needed.
Thus I would suggest the therapy sessions as well. The sessions will help him to understand the major core causes leading to his addiction and thus will help him to come out of it.

Alzheimer’s disease is an irreversible, progressive brain disorder that slowly destroys memory and thinking skills, and eventually the ability to carry out the simplest tasks. In most people with alzheimer’s, symptoms first appear in their mid-60s. Difficulty performing tasks that take some thought, but used to come easily, such as balancing a checkbook, playing complex games (bridge), and learning new information or routines

Abstaining oneself from any kind of addiction is not easy. You need to seek professional help and avoid self medication. Since I see you stay in bangalore I would suggest you to take your son to nimhans de-addiction centre or any psychiatrist near your vicinity. You can do a personal visit also if your son is not going.
Combination of medication and psychotherapy by a clinical psychologist will work wonders for him. All the best.

Risperidone is pregnancy category c. Which means use if benefits outweigh the risks. Same for asprito. There are not enough studies to say that the drug is safe during pregnancy. Having said that mental health of mother during and after pregnancy is of utmost importance. So many a times medication is necessary and you should consult a psychiatrist for the same.
Hope this helps. All the best!
