Dear Yubaraj,
Your wife may be having psychotic symptoms also along with depression. Amitriptyline and clonazepam have side effect of sedation. However she is taking rest and getting up for food and toilet. She would have got used to these drugs in 2 days. Now you can give risperidone also. Risperidone does not come as 5. Maybe it is 0.5.
However discuss with your doctor about drowsiness without stopping the drug. You should weigh whether drowsiness is worse or her symptoms are worse.

It is not advisable to take clozapine only for Sleep. There are several other alternatives to use to improve sleep especially if you find risperidone is helping to improve your condition and there are no major side effects. If so Please stay on risperidone and ask your Psychiatrist to add sleeping tablet.

Dying is not in your hand. Many who attempt suicide don't die. Many who want to live, die.
These tablets are prescribed at a particular dose that will benefit you. If you take in larger dose not only you lose the benefit, you may also face many side effects.
Take these 90 tablets over one month. It will change you thought of dying itself.

Dear lybrate-user,
Risdone was controlling your husband's symptoms of mood swings, murmuring and self laughing. Now risdone is not given, he is having all these symptoms. Please consult a psychiatrist who can prescribe tablets or long acting injectables for your husband. You can ask for side effects of risdone liquid, if it prescribed.

Dear Saikat,
Though you were suffering from depression and anxiety, the diagnosis must have been different. Depression and anxiety occurs in many psychiatric disorders and few medical conditions.
Risdone plus and oleanz is usually prescribed for psychotic features. Doctors usually try to treat with minimum dose of drugs. Many persons respond well to that dose itself. If you are not finding any improvement, please consult the doctor again. She/he will increase the dose, add another drug/t...more
