6 months and if no symptoms before starting treatment. Latent tb is not so actively treated if no symptoms if lung lesions or abdomen lessions with positive tb gold then should continue taking for 6 months you can. Take tb drugs post breakfast also.

I am on tuberculosis treatment since last 1 month, my concern is I am unable to have my medicine on given time for eg: I have asked to have r comes and razo d half hour before breakfast and combutol and benadon after breakfast, but I have my first dose of r comes and razo d around 6 to 7 am and second dose of combutol and benadon at 10.30-11 am and third dose of pyzina around 3-4 after my lunch is it proper or wrong pls suggest me, but since last one month I am gaining my weight during my treatment.

It's ok to take your fasting RComes which I consider is rifampicin and isoniazid 15 to 30 min empty stomach then only breakfast .avoid Razo d with it. If needed can be taken even before dinner. Rest is good. Weight gain is reassuring. Do get regular monitoring of disease with your physician.

High does folic acid of 5 mg is prescribed only in selected cases. Otherwise in completely normal pregnancy with normal obstetric history, 500 microgram of folic acid is enough and that also is mainly required in first 12 weeks of pregnancy.

I had left pleural effusion and I am on ATT (rcinex, pz 1500, ethambutol 1200) for 1.5 month. On the start of treatment due to liver problem rifampicin was stopped for a week and levofloxacin 500 was added and after 1 week rifampicin 450 (earlier 600) started again and after that I am normal but doctor tried to introduce rifampicin 600 (as my weight is 67 kg) but whenever I took rifampicin 600 I feel very weak and my head, palm ,ears get heated and I feel hot so I reverted to rifampicin 450 (attempted 3 times). Sir is this dose of rifampicin sufficient and is there any chance of getting MDR tb due to low dose (I never skipped a single dose. Rcinex 450/300, pz 1500, combutol 1200, levofloxacin 500)

There is no chance to get MDR TB I you taken low dose but it takes more time to cure. And with taking ATT medicine generally lver disturb so you can take liver supplement wd them.

Your doctor has basically stepped down from initiation phase to continuation phase of tb medicine - which is correct if you have completed 2 months of akurit4. If she is again getting all the symptoms of tb, should rule out drug resistant tb.

I am a tb patient my medication course is near to it's completion, I was prescribed akurit and benadon 40 for the treatment but the problem is. Though I have been taking akurit-3 without missing, I skipped taking benadon 40 for many days and maybe months. I wanted to ask if that might cause any problem? My sgtp was normal.
