Hi lybrate-user. The tablet is generally used to treat some E choli diarrhea or IBS. But unfortunately the effect is not long lasting.
And having black stool should not be taken lightly.
If possible take test for Stool routine and microscopic. To find out if there is blood in it.
Second thing you may think of shifting to homoeopathic treatment as it is very effective and give permanent results.

Have 1 tsf of bilagyl three times a day empty stomach till symptoms subsides and I suggest you have your usg done asap. I am doubting for hepatic issues.

Eat lot of salads and fruits daily, drink lot of water, Do daily walking for 1 hour, Reduce intake of Maida ,Bread, Chicken and roadside food.U will be good.
