Hello my name is kajal sharma, one month back I was diagnosed with tuberculosis which is outside lungs. I have a big lymph node with pus in this in my neck area. Doctor recommended me tablet ripe fd for tb treatment. This tablet includes all the 4 main salts in addition with vit b6. Dosage are isoniazid (150), pyrazinamide (750), ethambutol (400), rifampicin (225) pyridoxine 10 mg. Please tell me is it the right dose and treatment i'm getting right now. My size of lymph node and it's pain is increasing. Please help.

Hiâ¦ 3 tablets of ripe fd kit should be taken together in fasting state as per your body weight â¦ otherwise you can switch to akurit 4 4 tablets all before breakfastâ¦ look for paradoxical phenomenon or drug resistanceâ¦if it is paradoxical phenomenon need to add oral steroids in tapering doses along with anti tuberculosis medicationsâ¦ better consult chest physician nearby. Get genexpert from lymph node aspirate. Get complete pus drainage.

I was diagnosed with right sided pleural effusion in my right lung due to kochs's origin. I underwent tapping while been admitted in a hospital. And was under 6 months of medicine treatment (akurit-4 and akurit-3). I was cured completely. My x-ray reports were totally normal. Later on I also consulted a renowned pulmonologist of our city in kolkata. Going through my xray he said I was totally cured. It all happened last year. But for the past 2-3 weeks I was coughing a little bit. And for the past 2 days I am having quiet high fever sometimes. And coughing is getting very worse. I am getting uncomfortable irritation in my throat. I have smoked alot after I was cured from pleural tb treatment. Today I underwent a chest xray where it is stating that PROMINENT RIGHT HILAR SHADOW IS NOTED. But there is no sign of any effusion. Neither any active lung parenchymal lesions. Lateral costro-phrenic angles are clear as well. I also underwent dengue test where it is negative. What is reason for my fever and cough? And what does it mean by PROMINENT RIGHT HILAR SHADOW IS BEING NOTED? Have I relapsed Tuberculosis again? or is it MDR TB this time? Can it be any sort of Cancer? Or is it normal for a healed tb patient's xray?

It can be anything you mentioned and nothing just a part of fever. Need observation. Fever may be just viral.

We have used akt 4 as suggested by doctor for 2 months. After a checkup today, the doctor has changed medication to R-Cinex and Combutol. Which medicine is better, AKT 3 or the above combo i.e. R-Cinex and Combutol.

My wife is suffering from acute cerival lymphadenitis with tuberculosis from last one and half month. She is taking Akurit 4 thrice BBF, Pan 40 once BBF and Benadon 1 after lunch. The swelling has reduced by almost 10% after taking one month medicine. Recently the pain has increased and fever is coming during night. The area became red also with itching and pain. She is feeling hungry most of the time and has also breathing problem. Her weight increased by 1 kg. My question is is she recovering?Please tell.

My younger son is at the age of 5. Past few months he hasn't shown interest to take food. Then we consulted a doctor. After the mantox test he said that my son is having primary complex and gave akurit tablet and advised to take the tablet every day in the early morning at empty stomach. We continued the same and now 5 months are completed. But still my doctor saying to take the tablet until he reaches 18 kg. Now he is in 16.40 kg, ht 110 cm. We are worrying about primary complex & the side effects of the tablet. Doctors please give our opinion in this regard.

My wife delivered baby on 18th may 2016 after 1 month she started continuous falling sick like fever, cold shivering etc even in blood report not found any thing ,after 1 month doctor suggested for chest xray in that it has been observed she is suffering from enlarged lymp nodes in chest after that ct scan has been done to check the size of lymp nodes. Now doctor has prescribed akurit 4 3 tabs in empty stomach during the first week it was fine but in second week she again started the problem of fever sweating and shivering just want to know how serious is this condition as my baby is just 2 month old and she has become very week because of this disease.

I have got Hsg done Procedure: uterine cavity is normal in size ,shape & wall outline. No filling defect seen. bilateral fallopian tubes are dilated distally, left more than right. peritoneal spill of contrast seen bilaterally, slightly delayed on left My left tube has beaded appearance in x ray and my gyane adv me to start akurit4 even when tb test were negative taken on day 2 of periods along with tissue sample.(tuberculosis PCR and AFB smear) I could not able to handle the medicine my stomach disturbed badly and hospitalised several times. Had to stop the course in between .Could you pls advice if I can conceive naturally I am 37. Hsg report and X ray uploaded.

Hai. Your HSG shows pelvic tuberculosis. Laparoscopy may even show pelvic adhesions and tubercles over the uterus, tubes, etc. It is mandatory to take anti-tuberculous treatment (ATT). My grandmother is around 80 she is coughing since jan of dis year doctor gave budamate 250 complex forte and pantop but da problem continued n now she is under tb weight around 22 sleeping da whole day eating nothing from 15 days around now doctor gave akurit 4 2 tabs daily which we are giving by grinding it .So sir pls reply dis will be k or we should admit her to hospital because she is not eating anything n unconscious.
