Hello.
A 4th generation combo test (antigen/ antibody fda approved test) will detect hiv inf in 95% of cases by the test done after 4 wks of suspected exposure if infected. So a negative result by 4th gen combo test is atleast a good sign of potential non infection.

With the negative test it may be confirmed that you are safe.

Dear lybrate-user, You are HIV negative.
The doctor is either ignorant or willfully misguiding you. If what you said about the doctor is true, I genuinely doubt about his degree.
Anyways, as your issues are of urgent nature, please take private consult with audio video chat and then we can guide you properly.
Also do HBsAg and VDRL tests.
Take HBV vaccines.
Don't waste time.

Hello there is nothing big to worry for one skipped dose which is accidental and happens with many, but try to take the medication as prescribed by the doctor without fail from now on.
Just leave a positive feedback if helpful.
