Hello lybrate-user,
Both the salts have their pros and cons and it all depends on the patient's overall symptomatology when it comes of choosing one. None of them is outrightly superior over the other.
Please be warned that you must not take tale any of these without consulting a psychiatrist. Sometimes a wrong choice of drug or a wrong dose can lead to serious health problems and worsening of anxiety.

Vitamin e and levocarnitine are antioxidant and involved in lipid metabolism respectively so it could lead to overall improvement in fatigue and decreased energy. Escitalopram is an anti depressant medication used to treat depression and some other disorders like obsessive compulsive disorder.

Dear Nandlal,
Both are good. Such combination studies are not done usually. So, you can use whichever combination works for you. But at the age of 64, it is better to use etizolam.

Dear Lybrate-User,
Please consult the psychiatrist who prescribed it to you. If it is with suicidal intent, she/he may add another drug/ect/therapy/admission to hospital. If it is impulsive, she/he may discuss this issue in therapy. Observe yourself, if any symptoms come up, go to the hospital for symptomatic treatment.

Dear sir I am sorry the medicine is not working for you.
We need to find the reason why you are not feeling okay recently despite being on rexipra. It can be due a lot of factors like a recurrence of depression, a stressful situation acting as a trigger, starting another medicine that is affecting the level of rexipra in your blood, drinking alcohol, increased smoking, thyroid abnormality or any other physical illness etc etc. So please see a psychiatrist in person for a detailed evaluation ...more
