Hello both are antidepressants. Rexipra is a SSRI and zyven is a SNRI. Both drug belong to different class of antidepressants and both help in depression. Both are efficacious drug and depending om patient profile they are chosen. For bipolar illness you need a mood stabilizer. Antidepressant can switch you to high phase if you are having bipolar illness. Discuss with your practitioner before starting any medication. You can consult me for any help required.

Dear Ankita,
You can take Escitalopram on empty stomach or with food or after food, as long as you don't forget to take it. It is better to connect it with food to remember

Dear lybrate-user,
meditation works excellent to treat with depression & anxiety but mind you it is a very long process. It is a very deep connect of body mind & soul. I suggest please continue the practice without fail. the experience you had is quite enviable because meditation can make you feel like it. In case you are uncomfortable, please do only guided meditation. You can try the headspace app
along with that kindly add the below things in your daily routine, a good vigorous exerci...more

It is not good continue medicine. It leads side effects. Better to come out from medicine. For depression psychological counselling will helps very much. I think you never attend for counselling. Strong counselling sessions are required. Use the medicine whenever you feel normal then leave it. It is best as soon as possible you should come out from the medicine. Years together you use your mind addicted to medicine. Suppose in future you cannot sleep properly without medicine. It is always bette...more

There is nothing called better or inferior. All medications are tailored to an individual depending on the symptoms, response and tolerability. Over the Counter self medication and self medication by googling is dangerous to one's body and mind. Lorazepam is a benzodiazepine and can cause severe dependence and side effects on a longer run. Escitalopram ad Sertraline are SSRI's and need to be prescribed carefully adjusting/ titrating dosage by a psychiatrist. Hope this info helps.
