I hate to say this, but a proper solution always comes after a proper evaluation. In your case, we need to confirm that your diagnosis is indeed depression. Next we have to determine if the headache is a part of depression, some other medical illness or a side effect of escitalopram. Based on this analysis, further management can be suggested. It is possible to treat depression based on scientifically proven and established methods without the use of medicines as well. Take care!

These medications that you mention, i.e. Venlafaxine, lithium and escitalopram that you have been prescribed can be taken simultaneously without any serious side effects. However, it seems like you have a specific question about contraindication. To answer this question, we will need more information from you to determine if it is so. The most effective solution for dealing with anxiety for me personally was waking up early. I am not a morning person but once I tried this, I was surprised how good this made me feel. It helped me find peace and calm myself down. Having so much time in my hand I could do small things that made me happy and I felt a sense of accomplishment just by waking up early. I feel the most anxious during the night- so sleeping early really helped me tackle it to a great extent.
