There is no risk involved in planning a baby after having alcohol. Only if woman drinks more than 90 ml alcohol per day then only it has minute risk of baby developing fetal alcohol syndrome. Alcohol during pregnancy is usually to be avoided as after getting drunk she is at risk of getting herslf injured and her baby also.

Alcohol becomes a problem if a person feels compelled to take it everyday and he suffers from withdrawl symptoms like craving, restlessnes,sweating, nausea sleep problems, anxiety etc, when ever he tries to stop it. So the actual problem is pattern of intake. If you are a social drinker then its not a problem.
