Yes, sometimes can become negative, not always. Certain tests are needed to know if its a carrier state, acute or chronic hepatitis, only then treatment can be told. Get hbsag, hbeag, anti hbc igm, hbv viral load, lft, ultrasound abdomen esp for liver.
