Asked for male, 56 years old from Hyderabad

Dear doctor, my father's age is 85, for the last 15 days he is suffering with the symptoms parkinson, he right hand and right leg is stiff while he is walking for his nature calls. Apart from that, two months back his prostate operation went well but for the last 3 days during in the night he went for several times passing the urine. It may lead to fluids loss. So consult the urology doctor, he is given natrise tab daily one and zanocin 400mg daily one. Using from yesterday night. Please suggest how to stop the urination during in the night and how to overcome this fluid loss or electrolytes. Please any specialist can give some advice. With regards.

Right side lims are stiff due to spasticity becouse he had the history of paralysis attack. If I am right then start physiotherapy. Through this limd become lose and tone of bladder also increases.

You must know the cause of hyponatremia. First rule out he is not taking any diuretic medicine. Discuss with your Physician/Cardiologist.

I am writing on behalf of my father tukaram who is 77 year old & suffering from parkinson disease in addition to low sodium (at present 130 level normal level 135 to 155). He is also suffering from diabetic, thyroid, high bp, constipation. He is suffering from parkinson from about 1 year. However he was able to walk with support (stick) till one month back. One month back he suffered from low sodium level approx. 120 because of which he was not able to stand also. He was admitted in hospital & in 2 days his sodium level became normal. After that he was taking medicine natrise for maintaining sodium (last one month). From last 4 to 5 days he is suffering from very low energy level (not able to get up from bed, stand), he speaks very less & sleeps all the time. I would like to understand what is reason for the same. Also any medicine.

Your father might have some organic disease or developing low mood. As your father is suffering from multiple disease like parkinson, thyroid and have a past history of low blood sodium. Your father need detailed evaluation before anything can be definitely told. Presently you should continue the medicine. Go for some blood investigation. And try to consult a doctor. I think this will help you to some extent. Stay safe.
