I am suffering from 2 problem - 1. Difficulty in recall 2. Forgetfulness. And I have no previous any disease. I was in depression in 2011- 2012, for that I was prescribed rexipra 5 mg. Now I have almost no tension or stress. I get done by blood test for serum b12 23 january 2019 from srl ,and it is 138.0 pg/ml. And I have not taken dairy products for almost 2 year. Also, only 2-3 times we cooked non veg (fish) in month. Kindly suggest some medicine as currently I am in remote area, hospital or medical shop are not available here. I can only purchase medicine through my friends and speed post to me. When I get tested for b12, I advised to take rejunex injection for 14 day (1 injection each day) and tetrafol plus tablet also for 21 day (1 tab each day). So, as per my current scenario, can I take {rejunex capsule containing methylcobalamin (500 mcg ), alpha lipoic acid (100 mg)} in place of injection? Will taking rejunex capsule of this dose cause any side effects? Kindly suggest me what should I do? Here I have to stay for 3 month after which I could reach my home. I am in job.

Most probable cause of forgetfulness is Vit B12 deficiency. If you go for capsule instead of injection it will take more than 3 months to improve your vitamin level. In such deficiency one should go for injections, at least 7 anf then get the vitamin level re-checked and accordingly can plan for further dosing. Capsules doesn't have any side effects. All the best

Don't take injections. Never take injections. It is unnecessary pain.
Just start a good multivitamin tablet.
And taking B12 is not enough. Get proper treatment of the cause of low level of B12. Otherwise once you stop taking B12 it will again come back down if not taken proper treatment.

Hello, Have natural diet to cover up deficiency. Consult a physician regarding the need of supplements. Hosit is a good brand. But it should not be taken without a physician approval.

Normal levei is 200-900 picogram/ml. Less than 200pg/ml is considered deficient. Deficiency occurs due to strict vegetarian diet,
source- mostly obtained from animal food sources. 1. Take meat/egg/ fish, poultry, diary product like milk & milk product,
2. Vegetarian sources of b12 are milk, butter milk, yogurt. Vegetarians have to take b12 supplement
3. You may have to take injection b12 after consulting doctor, if no relief.

Dear User, it can be taken on an empty stomach at the same time for the duration advised for you. If you feel a burning sensation in the stomach then it is better to take it after a meal.
