Lybrate-user: People suffering from schizophrenia should take their medications daily. Occasional use can lead to emergence of symptoms. Clozapine especially is a medication that should only be taken under supervision of a physician with very regular blood work to make sure WBC count (cells that fight infection) are not getting too low.

Do not listen to what few people who do not know about psychiatric medications tell. Discuss your concerns with your treating psychiatrist, if not convinced, get a 2nd opinion. All the best.

Dear Atul,
Nice to know that you are maintained well with 1 mg Risperidone. Pacitane is necessary, only if you have shaking of fingers, stiffness of body and too much saliva in mouth. Otherwise it is not necessary for the treatment of schizophrenia.

Dear Syed,

It helped me find peace and calm myself down. Having so much time in my hand I could do small things that made me happy and I felt a sense of accomplishment just by waking up early. I feel the most anxious during the night- so sleeping early really helped me tackle it to a great extent.
