I have seen the details given. Since there is no information on fasting, pp glucose, hba1c%, lipid profile, dietary pattern & extent of daily exercise, there is no way to give any suggestion. Cyblex xr 60 mg is gliclazide which is a sufonylurea drug and can not and should not be replaced with metformin.

Therefore, it is clear that your diabetes is not in proper control. For diabetes follow a diet low in carbohydrate, low in fat and high in fibre. Walking for 30 mins a day for at least 5 days in a week is recommended. Follow a stress free life. Try walking for 10-15 min after your meal. If still your pp level remains high than your medication needs to be changed.

I have gone through the details given. I really do not see the reason to change to newer tablets, because earlier too you were on Tenelegliptin, then Dimicron (Gliclazide) with metformin. The newer tablets do not have Gliclazide, hence the blood glucose control will not be as good as earlier.
You should contnue the earlier drugs, plus take a restricted diet and do more exercise per day ove 1 hour. That will help in reducing HbA1c%. Thanks.

Hi if your sugar levels are in control, then there is no need to change medications or add any for the time being. However, person with t2 diabetes at some point of time in the treatment may have go in for insulin injections. Right now for you this stage is not there.
