First off, psychiatrists who are basically medical doctors prescribe medications and not psychologists. You need to go off of certain medications under the supervision of a psychiatrist just as you go on them since they are tapered up for optimization. It is the case with all medications, not just psychiatric medications and therefore you should have your friend consult a ​previous psychiatrist or another one online on this forum to help with those feelings.

No escitalopram is an antidepressant is an espazine antipsychotic used for schziphrenia, etc. Both totallly different.
