Quetiapine comes as a tablet and as an extended-release tablet to take by mouth. The tablets are usually taken one to three times a day with or without food. The extended-release tablets are usually taken once a day in the evening without food or with a light meal. Take quetiapine at around the same time (s) every day.

Dear Jigmet, I think we need to review the diagnosis and medicines. Quetiapine 50 mg is a low dose of medication. Also, we do not have information regarding the other medicine. There is no better or inferior medicine, they act in a very complex manner and varies between individuals to individuals, so consult your psychiatrist and work with them to find the right medication and also side effects and tests need to be done to monitor the medications.

Depends whether it was a sustained relelase / extended release preparation or plain one.
If it was an extended/sustained release preparation then it will lose its effectiveness as long term preparation by crushing it.
So not recommended. (qutan sr)
