Relax dear Lybrate user. First of all let me know long have you been taking quitipin as how is the benefit. You are being treated for a serious condition and must periodically get the medication reviewed. I am sure you are one of those who has not combined medication with therapy. This can make it difficult for you to recover well. Do meet with a counselor and develop certain coping skills and techniques which can substantiate the medication well for faster recovery.

Since you are already on medication I suggest you talk to your treating Psychiatrist and convey your current symptoms to them. It is possible that some changes in medication dosages will help improve the symptoms. As they are familiar with your history it is always better to have a discussion with them regarding this situation.

I think you should consult the same physician and take his advice. We as counsellors and life skill coaches can't prescribe any kind of medication.
Pls note all allopathic medication have side effects
though with medication you can also undergo counselling which has been proven to have very nice results for anxiety and depression as the root cause of the disease is taken care of.

No sir you cannot experiment on medicines like this. You need to meet with a psychiatrist and according to his diagnosis s/he will prescribe suitable medicines and dosages to begin with. There is no doubt that this disease is debilitating but you must persevere not only with the medication but also with counseling. The counseling gives you an avenue to work with your emotional issues and you will develop skills in coping with the everyday challenges that life throws at you. I hope your visits to...more
