you are very right about normal range of tsh levels. At 8.5 milli units/ml, with normal t4, the condition is classified as sub- clinical hypothyroidism. This normally is not treated with any drugs. -As you have heart blockage & BP problem you have to take medication regularly & may be lifelong for which you have to be regularly monitored by doing investigations & then your cardiologist will decide whether to alter dose or change medication as per the investigation results

It is always advisable to drink in moderation, not more than 1 peg daily, I think you should not make it a habit of taking your medicines after alcohol, 1-2 times in a month is ok, but not regularly.
