This appears like Ear drum perforation as a result of cold and middle ear infection. Ear must be kept dry with no liquid entry of any type. Wipe outside with cotton buds. You require aggressive treatment of nose congestion, cold and chronic infection. Once dry Ear drum reconstruction surgery may be considered. See ENT Specialist for the management.

No, betamethason is a steroid. Don't apply it. Instead apply lulifin cream twice daily. Keep area clean and dry.
