ECTs are normally the last line of treatment. It sounds like you may have quite a serious condition. Sleep deprivation is quite common especially during the manic phase. You must make sure that you cooperate because many times you will not believe that there is something wrong and would love to quit the medication. Biochemical changes (abnormal or subnormal levels of neurotransmitters in the brain). 2. There may be any underlying traumatic ...more

Depends whether it was a sustained relelase / extended release preparation or plain one.
If it was an extended/sustained release preparation then it will lose its effectiveness as long term preparation by crushing it.
So not recommended. (qutan sr)
if it is a plain or immediate release preparation, yes you can crush it.

Dear lybrate-user Long QT syndrome is different than elongated QT on ecg. QT elongation can be due to drugs, low potassium and other factors which can be corrected. Long QT syndrome is mainly genetic and a lot of genetic mutation identification tests are available. Many times it is congenital (By birth).

Any medication can cause side effects, and high blood pressure (hbp) medications are no exception. However, many people do not have side effects from taking hypertension drugs, and often the side effects are mild. Still, it's important to stay informed.
