Plain glycolic is not fast in reducing pigmentation.. Kojic acid has better depigmentation capacity.. Also azaleic acid cream can be used for active pimple for pigmentation.

Good evening. Glycolic acid based creams are used for acne, skin ageing, pigmentation issues. It is usually not used by it self in acne and pigmentation issues but in addition to other creams/gels.
Bear in mind, any topical therapy for the above mentioned conditions requires at least 4 weeks of treatment duration before deciding whether it is working or not.

pigmentation can be due to multiple causes, like nutritional deficiencies like b12 deficiency, ferritin deficiency, hormonal imbalances like thyroid, pcod, sensitive skin, genetic factors, obesity etc .we should examine and find out the cause and prescribe accordingly. But better you consult your dermatologist for better analysis and treatment. Most of the times, spots will respond to azaelic acid creams.
