Most often it's viral infection. Fever usually settles down in 3 to 4 days. Cough takes 7 to 10 days. Continue same treatment. Small children get frequent infections because of low immunity.

Don't give ascoril for common cold. It contains terbutaline, and will increase herat rate. Use only simple cough remedies like benadryl cough formula, which contains only diphenhydramine and ammoniumchloride.

If it's due to ascoril syrup, it should subside spontaneously. If it's persistent, you have to consult local physician. You can check a thyroid profile. Avoid any alcoholic drink if at all you take any.

Coffy syrup contains bromhexine, guaiphenesin, menthol and terbutaline sulphate as active ingredients and is good for pregnant ladies. You trust your doctor and not google for treatment.
