It is better to get a tridot test for baseline after the potential exposure to HIV and then after a period of time, i.e. The window period which is about 2-4 months for HIV infection, you may want to get another test done and this time go for ELISA so that you confirm for sure since the sensitivity and specificity for ELISA is quite high especially after the window period.
