Hi lybrate-user. It is a category x drug which is not safe during pregnancy. But I cannot confirm that it effects every foetus. U can continue and get all the tests done till 20 weeks if anything is abnormal you can get aborted before that.

Yes can be used to post-pond period. If pregnant no effect and period will not come. If post-ponding period is very important then stronger drug can be used by consulting Gynecologist.

Ask doctor who has prescribed why given to you, also depends on what stage was it advised.

1) you have not mentioned how many mg and how frequent and since when.
2) normally withdrawal bleeding appears 3 to 8 days after stopping medroxyprogesterone if there is no pregnancy or other problem.
30 if one does not get change in treatment is done.
