My doctor prescribed ketoconazole to me for fungal infection. Does it have any side effects? Does it cause any problem in long term?

Ketoconazol cream you can use for 1to 2 months if indicated. But cap ketoconazole is not advised now a days for its various side effects. Follow up with your nearest dermatolgist.. Thanks.

no.. treatment depends on the severity...Fungus or yeast infection....common around skin folds like thighs and genitals.. avoid sweating, sharing clothes,towels and soap.. specific medicine required depends on the severity.. for detailed prescription do direct online consultation by sending photos.

I am using coconut oil daily since several years ,I have dandruff problem so I was given ketoconazole shampoo but pharmacist said not to use oil, but I can't live without oiling my hair, so will there be any deadly effects on hair if I use ketoconazole shampoo (I will apply oil at least 5 times a week and use ketoconazole shampoo 2 times a week) What's your opinion? Take homoeopathic treatment if you want permanent solution.. You can oil also with it..

I have been using ketoconazole on and off but now it seems it has stopped working. The itchy scalp and small red pimples are back the dandruff is little though. Hi, I have a ringworm all over my body since last year. Recently, I consult a skin doctor. He prescribed me itraconazole capsules 100 mg twice a day, levocetirizine tablets once at day and ketoconazole lotion 2%. I also continue to use ketoconazole soap. What amaze me is that he didn't prescribe me a medicine for my stomach, because I have gastric ulcer. If I take ulgel or admagel (or something like that), will it affect the antifungal medicines?

Why does it feel like having grains on my scalp?, I use ketoconazole dandruff shampoo to wash my hair once in two days, I oil my hair during night time and I'll wash it the next morning using ketoconazole shampoo. Actually I have a combination scalp with dry hair and overactive scalp I tried many shampoos But still I can't get rid of that grainy stuff on my scalp. Please help.
