Yes. They are quite important vaccines. Rota virus vaccine is to protect against severe diorrhoea caused by rotavirus. Depending on the brand cost is between 1000- 1500 per dose either 2- 3 doses. It's oral drops not injection.
Pneumococcal vaccine protects against pneumonia and brain fever and severe infections
cost depends on brand - 1600- 4000
hope this helps.

Influenza vaccines are usually given for a year only because of antigenic variation and drift they make not work on every strain. Thats why flu shots are given every year.

Painless vaccination for the majority of vaccines is a technology in its infancy, with ongoing experiments and clinical trials to deliver vaccines either orally, via aerosol or via the skin. There are a few exceptions, including oral vaccines for cholera, typhoid and rotavirus and a nasal spray for influenza (FluMist). However, for the majority of both pediatric and adult vaccinates, injections either subcutaneously (below the skin), intradermally (into the skin) or intramuscularly (into the mus...more

The only protection that can work against Dengue infection is prevention of mosquito bites. Another interesting thing to be kept in mind is that the mosquito responsible for Dengue Virus transmission has a day biting habit. So use mosquito repellents, wear full sleeve clothes etc. Unfortunately there is no vaccine for Dengue infection prevention so far although researches are going on.

Hi lybrate-user,
Vaccines usually cause fever for 24 to 48 hours after administration of Vaccine. If the fever is persisting beyond this period or associated with other symptoms like cold, cough, throat pain, loose stools, then we can think other reasons such as Viral infections.

Hope I have answered your query.

The painless vaccine has currently lost favour in view of the increasing number of children detected to have got the disease inspite of vaccination. The efficacy and duration of effectiveness is lesser .
Hence these days it is advocated to use the painful vaccine, unless the child had had very severe side effects earlier, or has a history of fever induced convulsions.

The immune system is extremely important in an individual's system. A strong immune system helps to combat the invasion of foreign particles and consequently resists the diseases. Vaccination in such a context becomes imperative as it strengthens an individual's immunity. In vaccination, antigens or germs are given in very small doses. They stimulate the immune system to produce antibodies to fight against that particular infection. Vaccinations are provided to both children and adults to prote...more

It is the first vaccine that the doctor will ask your child to get if he/she gets wound. Tetanus is a rare but severe condition which occurs when bacteria enter into an open wound. It can turn fatal if left untreated, so you need to follow the vaccination schedule in order to control the infection. Indulging in substance abuse (especially the ones that require injecting with syringes) increases the risk of tetanus.
