Asked for male, 30 years old from Delhi

I am 12 weeks and 5 days pregnant. And it is an unwanted pregnancy so for an abortion we went to a gynecologist she said you have to take misoprostol before d&c 24 hours before. So when I searched about that it causes abortion automatically and opens the cervix and expels out fetus and then after 24 hours d&c is done by doctor. But my question is that is it necessary to get d&c done after taking dosage of misoprostol or simply wait for next menses. And regular check by ultrasound that abortion is complete or not. Kindly help me in this situation what to do?

Actually it is better to abort in early weeks rather than waiting for long.After 12 weeks it really becomes a complicated procedure.Placental tissues will form more after 12 weeks and chances of them getting adherent or retained is more.To ensure completeness your doctor must have advised Dand C after the abortion.It is not that easy to abort a live pregnancy.

It will depend on the type of the epilepsy whether you can discontinue them or not
also the drug levetiracetam itself has a lot of side effects.

Can't b confirm. If you r having bleeding cont. Then go for sonography lower abdomen to role out any retained product of conception.

Misoprost is for termination of pregnancy if pregnancy is confirmed. It does not help if period has not come because of other reasons. It needs detailed medical history, clinical examination, looking at old reports and may be take out some new reports before you can be advised so meet Gynecologist.

1 tab today orally with water and then a gap of tomorrow and then again day after tomorrow put 2 tabs in vagina do not get up for half an hour. Then after four hours on the same put 2 tabs in vagina donot get up for half an hour.

Are you sure about misoprost? It is a drug used for abortion. You can take an emergency contraceptive but best effective within 72 hrs of sexual intercourse. You can still get pregnant as it is not 100% full proof.

No it does not if it is succesful.
Drugs for termination of pregnancy can be taken only under the supervision of doctors licensed for termination, so meet Gynecologist.
After drugs, for termination of pregnancy, it is sonography 15 days later which decides the success of treatment.

Hi I am working woman, I got married 1 year back, and we do not want baby for 2 yrs, but unfortunately I got pregnant and it was 6 weeks running, but as we do not want baby I took tablet name (Mifepristone and Misoprostol) once in my life, that too half tablet I took, I was afraid of taken that, so both tablets I took half-half (not full). And it works successfully. And also sometimes I used to take papaya after sexual intercourse. As we do not use any protection. And papaya always works fine. As it is a great fruit which wash out everything. I always natural remedies we have sexual intercourse anytime that too before my menstrual itself. So my question is do all these effects in future if we plan for a baby?

Papaya is not a medicine for abortion, so pls use proper contraception. Yes, using Mifepristone Misoprost( a wrong dosage taken) by oneself, frequently can cause problem later.

I am in a remote area where hospitals and clinics are very far from my home. Please advice me what to do in heavy bleeding if it happened. I am worried. I want to take 4 misoprostol at home. Medical abortion is given to the patient to take at home only with the condition that the patient has access to medical facility. There is a chance of heavy bleeding with any abortion. But in the unfortunate occurrence of heavy uncontrolled bleeding at home you need to be near a facility. You won't be able to manage it at home. Better to go to nearest nursing home or hospital and take misoprost ok there if you are very far away.
