Leg pain then you have to rule out the casues for having leg pain. First of all check your weight and your haemoglobin levels, as anaemia always leads to the symptoms of being tired and also having leg pain though there are no issues with the knee joint or back pain. Hot water fermentation that would help to red...more

The first thing to look for is an abscess at the site of injection. Please ask the patient if there is any pain at the site of injection.
Take care.

Hello, Very difficult to say that one is better than the other drug because both piroxicam and diclofenac have almost similar efficiency with respect to pain reduction. Piroxicam has slightly better acceptance due to lesser gastritis. Otherwise all other side effects are similar.

Dear respected doctors, pranam, I visited another spa this time a well reputed one. I opted for back massage and told that I have lower back pain. Everything was going good, when the masseuse started massaging my upper back. She gave two hard pushes on the upper back just above the heart. I immediately started having pain on the upper back, both the hands and also the chest. I stopped the massage and immediately went to a doctor. He checked me with the stethoscope and asked me to breath deeply. I also was having pain while breathing in. He gave me pain killers and powergesic gel to apply on the back for three days. He told me to visit him after three days. Today is the second day. Although I did not feel much pain during last night, I am having pain and difficulty in breathing today. My question is what could have gone wrong? Do I complete my medicines and then visit the doctor? Do you think this is some thing serious? My doctor told me that it is a muscle spasm. Can powergesic gel be applied on the chest. I will be very grateful if you could alleviate my fears. Thanking you, sincerely yours, s. Ravindernath.

Your problem could be due to sudden muscle spasm or could be due to muscle fibre injury.
It will be better to take x-rays to rule out any bony injury as you are 61 and bone density may be less
You can take Chest x-ray PA view as well as xray upper spine
You can apply powergesic cream on the chest also

Hello, Thanks for the query.
Some patients may develop swelling in lower limbs due to retention of water and sodium following intake of certain NSAIDs like diclofenac. It could be due to not tolerating that drug. So it is better she avoids it. First thing is stop the drug and if needed some antihistaminic may be used. Swelling will go away after stopping the drug. Henceforth, she should avoid using that compound again. Thanks.
